The teachers of a kindergarten in Ya’an, which is located in the Sichuan Province of Southwest China, were holding a meeting as the earthquake was about to strike.ย

After receiving the warning information 20 seconds in advance, all 23 of the teachers promptly hurried to their classrooms and woke up the students who were sleeping during the middle of the day so that they could evacuate to a safe location.

A teacher at the kindergarten named Yang said that the whole operation took 117 seconds, and they were successful in safely evacuating all 165 children between the ages of 2 and 6.ย

The teachers helped the children who were unable to wake up by carrying them out of the room together with their quilts. Fortunately, none of the children were hurt in the process.

After the earthquake, the teachers spent the day providing the students with psychological therapy and then had them participate in another earthquake emergency exercise.

A significant number of internet users had their feelings moved by the prompt response of the educators.

This is not just possible as a result of the normal learning and training that instructors go through, but also as a result of the strong feeling of duty that teachers have to care for students.
