Images Of Herself Without A Mask, The Chairperson Of The School Board Flees

Last Monday, the chairperson of a Virginia school board, who is renowned for berating parents who object to mask demands, left a meeting after being faced with images showing herself without a mask and surrounded by a “crowd of people.”

After Alecia Vaught, a parent, protested about the state’s mask policy, Chairwoman Susan Kass stormed out of the Montgomery County School Board meeting.

Vaught criticized the school board members for not obeying Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s new directive and singled out Kass, who had allegedly yelled at parents who had removed their masks in protest at a previous meeting.

The mother displayed photos of a maskless Kass that purportedly came from the chairwoman’s Facebook page, according to a report.

Kass was enraged by the attack, according to the story.

“I’m sorry, Ms. Vaught, you are done. If you are going to sit there and disparage a member of our school board, then you can sit down,” Kass said.

According to the complaint, she then requested that the parent be removed from the situation.

Vaught was defended by a different board member.

“She should be able to say her piece. I’ve had to listen to people come and criticize me,” according to the board member.

“That’s my family,” Kass said.

“What do you think about our family? Our family is being suffocated to death by your policies,” Vaught retorted.

That was enough for Kass, according to the report.

“I’m done. She leaves or I leave,” the chairwoman said before storming out seconds later.

“I wish I had reacted differently. But when someone is scrolling through your personal FB trying to prove something that isn’t true, and now they are threatening to show photos of your family, you become protective,” Kass said in a statement regarding the incident.

“She is trying to paint me as a hypocrite because I spent time with family and friends who are vaccinated and boosted at people’s homes. I have not asked anyone to do something that I haven’t done myself. I have elderly parents that I also need to protect.”
